At its Exit Meeting, the Committee on Science and Education discussed the Issues concerning Control over Implementation of Legislation on the National Archive Fund and Archives (re Provision of Access to the Documents of the National Archive Fund and Use of Archival Information)

At the meeting the People´s Deputies were informed of peculiarities of registration, conditions and methods of preservation, type of access and terms of using of archival documents, their vast amount in the Central State Archive of Ukraine, the Central State Archives of Supreme Bodies of Power and Government of Ukraine, the Central State CinePhotoPhono Archives of Ukraine named after H. Pshenychny and the State Service for Documents Preservation.

The Committee members drew attention to the insufficient funding of archival sector, low salary of archive employees, lack of professional personnel, especially restorers.
